My favorite children's book author, and now my favorite tpt seller for comprehension activities. Thanks so much for creating a visually appealing product that is also of great quality. This is especially wonderful for those of us who can come up with great content, but lack the creativity to make something that kids actually want to complete.

I used the Comprehension Skills Paper Bag Books toward the end of the school year as a creative way to review essential reading comprehension skills with my students. These hands-on projects offered a refreshing change from traditional review methods, keeping students engaged while reinforcing key skills like sequencing, summarizing, and identifying main ideas. The activities were perfect for helping students consolidate what they had learned throughout the year in a fun, interactive format. It also provided valuable practice for test prep without feeling repetitive or boring.

I actually used parts of the packet when we used Each Kindness during a literature study on Jacqueline Woodson in my 8th grade ELA class. We were also having some issues with the kids not being kind, so it helped there as well. I knew it was for younger kids, but it actually was an engaging activity for them and we had some excellent discussions.

This resource had many of the skills we had been working on when we turned to Mercy Watson--SWBST, author's craft, author's purpose. Very helpful to have these worksheets so nicely prepared and for more than one Mercy book!

I fell in love with Jan Brett's books two years ago. When December rolled around, I knew I would conduct an author's study about Jan Brett. With being a teacher, I was strapped for time. I looked at several pre-made author's study, but found them only covering one or two books. I wanted to immerse my students into several of her books. This 413 page packet has lesson plans, activities, and printable writing activities for ten books. It was well worth the money. Thank for you all the hard work creating these activities. I am elated to use in next week.

This resource has been a great addition to my kindergarten centers. I'm teaching the nursery rhyme in large group and using the remaining materials in my nursery rhyme center. The dots make it easy for students to visualize and point to each word. During center time, the students enjoy retelling the rhyme, and I like how I am able to use the materials to differentiate for a variety of reading levels.
