Kids LOVE learning about animals, so you won’t have to sell them on the fun they will have. There will be a little prep, but I’ve tried to make it as easy as possible on you. Here are more details explaining how the projects work.
To get started with this project, you'll want to gather art supplies including glue, scissors, and crayons. You will also need 3 paper lunch bags per child and a copy of the printables included in your download.
Withing your download, you will have a teacher direction page, copies of the student pages, graphic organizers for the students' data collection, and your grading rubrics. You'll need a copy of the download for each student.
A grading rubric is included with points awarded for each section of the book. Plus, students are also graded for accuracy, neatness, and completing their work on time. You'll have a percentage score from the rubric for grading.

Studying animals naturally taps into children's curiosity and sense of wonder.
As your kids learn about different species, habitats, and behaviors, they'll begin to appreciate animals more and develop empathy for them.
I know this project will be tons of fun and easy to prep. It includes 68 animal choices divided by habitat (polar, grassland, desert, ocean, rain forest, and woodland). Topics include habitat, diet, adaptations, predator/prey relationships, and fun facts.
