If you’re getting ready to teach synonyms and antonyms, then you’ll want to check out this Synonyms and Antonyms Project your students will love making. It includes instructional materials, guided practice, and independent practice activities to help your students understand the differences and how to use them to enhance writing.
The activities can be used for small groups, intervention, additional practice, test prep, and review. I used the beginning of the book for modeling, and the rest can be included in work stations, in interactive notebooks, paired work, or as an at home project.
Students explore the difference between synonyms and antonyms, give examples, sort examples, explore a thesaurus and practice using it for several activities, and work on overused words.
The book includes the following components:
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ I Teach Littlesย (TpT Seller) says, “Fantastic product that my students loved making! It was different that anything they had done so learning was engaging and fun!”
