These Letter H activities are just what you need for your emergent readers. H is a bit of a challenge for some kinders, and having a variety of practice activities helps. It is important for all emergent readers to learn how to form upper and lowercase H as well as knowing it’s sound. In this paper bag book for Letter H, your students will work on letter formation following the anchor charts provided, letter recognition, and the letter sounds. The finished project can be used for review.

HOW TEACHERS CAN USE THIS LETTER H ACTIVITIES FOR INSTRUCTION:
I recommend making this project in small groups. Students will complete the work prior to gluing the pages into their book. If you don’t have paper lunch bags, you can use them in interactive notebooks or in books made of construction paper. Each of the Letter H activities can be used in a lesson, so the book is made over several days. It is a great choice for intervention groups, for working with a teaching assistant or volunteer, or for homework.
HOW THE LETTER H ACTIVITIES ARE ORGANIZED:
The Letter H project includes the following pages. Students will complete them and then cut them out to glue into their paper bag book or interactive notebook. Pages are 5 1/2 inches square.
The final book is 8 pages in length and will take a week to complete. It requires 2 paper lunch bags for each student to create. Great to send home for review too.
