HOW TEACHERS CAN USE THIS RESOURCE FOR COMPARING FICTION AND NONFICTION:

I suggest having printables for students to use in teams and that you project the sorting mat. You can either write student responses on the smartboard or sort the sticky notes. For additional practice, you might consider my paper bag books for story elements and for nonfiction text features for extension.
