HOW TEACHERS CAN MAKE THE CHECKING FOR UNDERSTANDING FLIPBOOK:
To construct the flipbook, the teacher will make copies on colored cardstock or paper for the signal pages and white cardstock for the base. There are two options for construction-staple and glue according to the directions or use a binding machine to allow the student to flip back the tabs he/she doesn’t need.
HOW TEACHERS CAN USE THE CHECKING FOR UNDERSTANDING FLIPBOOK:
When you are working with small groups, you can use the flipbooks for a quick status check. Students can share whether their understanding is solid, getting there, or whether they’re in need of help. Flipbooks are easy to put together and can be reused if laminated.
