This shark week partner play offers a way to build fluency and comprehension skills while including important vocabulary, activities for close reading, and writing extensions. You can have fun AND work on fluency and comprehension at the same time! Use this during Shark Week, ocean themed activities or for a fun summer school activity. HOW TEACHERS CAN USE THIS SHARK WEEK PARTNER PLAY:

This four page script can be used with intervention groups needing additional support in the area of reading, in a fluency station during your small group rotations, or as an extension activity for your ocean unit or Shark Week . It is a combination of Reader’s Theater and Close Reading.
