Description
These polar animals close reading sets include before, during and after materials to address schema, vocabulary, text dependent questioning, and application of what students learn for each of the FIVE animals. They work very well for small group guided reading or for differentiated group research. PLUS…you can follow them up with a fun research project. All you’ll need is an assortment of nonfiction books for your students to use for research.
HOW TEACHERS CAN USE THIS POLAR ANIMALS CLOSE READING BUNDLE:
Students read for a different purpose each day and have a new article for annotation and marking. Students can begin with the close reading set for an assigned animal and continue researching to complete the paper bag mini book as a culminating activity. The research book will take approximately one week to complete and includes a grading rubric. You can use it as a post reading project or during your writing block.
