Here is what teachers are saying...
Takes a little time to prep, but, wow, what a fun and functional resource! My students loved using the summarizing paper bag book. It really helped them solidify this concept in a neat, creative way. Thank you for all you do!

Oh my goodness!!! Not only is the seller so quick to respond to questions, she is so sweet!! This set is absolutely amazing! Not only does it have a great variety of holidays and seasons, but there are so many to choose from!!! I love that there are mock ups for both digital and printable resources. I am in love with your work! Thank you so much for these great quality mock ups!

I have two students who struggle with reading. I needed something to help build their self-esteem, but I didn't want to reinvent the wheel either. This was perfect! We do a poem each week. Monday, we read through it together. After they each do a cold read for me, we highlight our struggling words. Then Tuesday-Thursday, we do the activities. On Friday, they read it once more for me, and we chart their improvement. Their self-esteem has grown so much. They love taking them home to read each week.

I have bought and love all of your concept of word poems and activities! Now with the updated version, there is so much more to love! Great for teaching Kinders concept of word which is so important to reading! Thank you!

It is with characters that our students are able to use their imagination and just get lost in a book. When we think of our favorite books, the characters are what come to…
How to Teach Determining Importance with The Gardener
Determining importance is a critical skill as we approach testing season, and with my classes, I try to practice this by modeling with mentor texts/think aloud and practicing with shorter articles quite a bit from February to April. I don't know about your students, but some of mine "paint the page" with their highlighters. Teaching them how to determine importance really cuts down on that. They have great difficulty determining…
Using Technology to Spark Motivation with Your Readers
Kids are all so unique. What motivates one, may or may not motivate another. Balancing the need to teach all the standards, monitor progress, match curriculum to student needs, and keep them motivated can be one big juggling act sometimes. Motivation can be one's pathway to success or major roadblock to progress depending on the student. I think the answer to motivating the masses is by using a wide range…
