Description
For the Love of Autumn by Patricia Polacco is a sweet book of a teacher’s love of her cat, Autumn. This comprehension focused set of activities will help your students dig deeper and learn key literacy skills including writing.
HOW TO USE THIS FOR THE LOVE OF AUTUMN UNIT:
The unit works well for guided reading, mentor text lessons, for book clubs and paired reading, and for stations. All you need to do is select the activities you need and either print or project them. They also work well for sub plans.

HOW THE FOR THE LOVE OF AUTUMN UNIT IS ORGANIZED?
The unit will last between 3-5 days depending on how quickly your students read and how much of the unit you choose to use. You now have both digital using Google Slides and PDF options. You can pick and choose the parts you want to use and the order. However, my units are organized in a before, during, and after format. I typically project the part of the lesson I’m using to demonstrate my expectation and assign either the digital or print version for completion.
