Clifford’s First Autumn Book Companion

Autumn is here, and Clifford is so excited! In Clifford’s First Autumn book by Norman Bridwell, young readers will follow Clifford on his fall journey. First and second grade students will be engaged with these before, during, and after activities! All you have to do is print and go!

Here’s what’s included in the Clifford’s First Autumn Unit:

1. a schema building activity
2. vocabulary

4. making text to self connections/comparisons
5. post reading summarizing

7. and a letter writing response to reading.

HOW TEACHERS CAN USE THE CLIFFORD’S FIRST AUTUMN UNIT:

The pages can be printed and put under a document camera for group discussion or projected using TPT Easel. Students can work in teams to brainstorm ideas when working in whole group or work on specific skills with the teacher in guided reading groups. Teachers can also use this resource for book clubs for more independent readers.
