Biscuit and the Little Pup is one of my favorites for beginning readers. This PRINT AND GO unit will help your students get plenty of reading practice as close reading routines are implemented. It’s organized in a BEFORE/DURING/AFTER format for consistent skill modeling and practice.
The pages can be printed and put under a document camera for group discussion or projected using TPT Easel. Students can work in teams to brainstorm ideas when working in whole group or work on specific skills with the teacher in guided reading groups. Teachers can also use this resource for book clubs for more independent readers.
~My students love using these worksheets related to Biscuit and the Little Pup. The graphic organizer is helpful for the students to organize their thoughts before starting the writing process. The visualizing worksheet was one of their favorite pages!.
