Over the past year, I've been developing what I call partner scripts. These are two person reader's theater scripts basically that include before, during, and after activities to deepen comprehension and expand vocabulary and writing skills. Students incorporate Close Reading practices while building reading fluency as well. After all, what kid minds rereading if there is a performance involved? So...grab your shark hats, snorkeling masks, and fins. We're off for a reading adventure with my freebie, Something Sharkie This Way Comes. It will cause a feeding frenzy with your second and third grade students. If you like the looks of these and want to see more, click [here] to follow my blog on Bloglovin. As I make new sets, I'll share them on my blog or Facebook page.

Super fun! You always create wonderful things! I think I can still make use of this in fifth grade next year- especially for building fluency and public speaking skills!

So glad you can use it. It may work well for ELL and SPED students in your classroom, especially.
DeleteYour partner scripts make me so happy! I can definitely use this with my low readers in fifth grade. Each of your scripts is always a fun and engaging read that students enjoy! Thank you, Carla!

Mrs O Knows
This one may work for your SPED and ELL kids, Rachel. Otherwise, may be too low. Will try to write an upper elementary ocean one too down the road.
DeleteI must've just missed it, so I put it on my wishlist. It looks great! This hop was fun! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am in love with "Day in the Life of a Shark." How fun! Thank you so much for joining us for this hop!
