Pick Three Pinterest Fun

I'm joining up with Pawsitively Teaching and Inspired Owl's Corner to share three Pinterest picks for May. Since Sunday is Mother's Day, I thought my first choice would be a Mother's Day pin. I love finding ideas for holidays that tie in reading and writing skills too. Because I work as a reading specialist, I can't take too much time for crafts unless I tie a skills to it.

Here is the one I picked to share.

I also selected a group of books that teachers could use in conjunction with the activity.  Here are my favorites.

Here is a Mother's Day and Father's Day board you might follow for ideas.

This month, we're also doing our end of the year testing, so I thought I'd share a testing tool that will help your students.

Here are a few books you might use to help your kids with test anxiety. (They may help you too!)

The last pin I picked is one I put together in a collage since the bucket and shovel can be used with the beach ball to create a great memory board.

Great books for the end of the year...
On that note, I believe I'll get this posted.  You have a great Teacher Appreciation Week, and an even better End of the Year.  To help you celebrate, I am joining in with my friends over at Adventures in Literacy this week for a Laminator Giveaway.  You may not be laminating much here at the end of the year, but I know you will be this summer.  If you'd like to enter, be sure to check in tomorrow over at Lit Land.

Have a great week!

  1. I love all of your pins! I have always wanted to do the ice cream cone! We did something similar to #2 last year, and the kiddos were so motivated when it was test taking time! Thank you so much for sharing and linking up with us! :)
