Five for Friday-Gearing up for the Big Sale

Holy Moly...what a busy week!  I have over committed myself this week, and by the time school starts, I think I'll need a vacation.  Anyone else feel that way??  I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share the highlights of the week, blogging news, a few favorite pins, and get ready for it...three... yes you read that correctly...three giveaways!

Photo: Beach fun in Myrtle Beach, SCCartoon Number OneWe started off this week with fun at the beach.  We have an exchange student visiting from Germany with our church youth group, and our youngest truly wouldn't have fit with the group.  Well, my oldest begged me to take her for something special so he could hang with the Germans. Well he didn't have to twist my arm much. Here we are with a little selfy of the beach. Yes, my youngest is officially taller than I am!

Cartoon Number TwoWhile we've been at the beach, the announcement came out for the big sale! Yes, if you have not heard, it is in three, yes, three days!  I was not ready!  I expected it in a few more weeks. Alas, I am working to finish up a few things.  One product I'm adding to is this set of inspirational posters.  I hope to add to the set over time to eventually have one per week.  I'm thinking that a focus message would help weave in a little character education and effort based mindset.

Cartoon Number ThreeThis week, I jumped in on two blog hops.  The first was the Blogger Product Swap. Mynda Rivera at B is for Bilingual was just awesome to work with.  She wrote a fantastic review of my Concept of Word Poetry Set.  You can read it [here]  I loved her Back to School Craftivity set, and you can read more about it [here] The Rafflecopter is still live til Sunday night.  Be sure to add your information below.
In addition to the Blogger Product Hop, I also joined  up with some bloggy buddies for the Ipad Mini Giveaway.  I learned a lot writing up that post, and it is filled with reading/literacy apps (some free, some paid) that will help your students in centers or in guided reading.  That Rafflecopter is going crazy, and someone will be thrilled to receive it!  Here's it is in case you'd like to enter.
Interesting way to label student's seats at the beginning of the school year. Easy to move students to another desk. Can wait to put names on desks until after a few weeks of school has past.Cartoon Number FourDuring the week, I've been scanning Pinterest for great BTS ideas, and I thought I'd share a few favorites.  All of the links are in my Classroom Ideas board on Pinterest.  Here are a few of the pictures to share.

READ -use YA book covers to cover letters or cut out for a bulletin board.Great idea to have students write these and create the board as a class ... Character Education!Team Trash Bins - Awesome... keep the kiddos from needing to get up a gobzillion times - good idea for classroom organization.

Cartoon Number FiveFinally, I want to encourage a little Teachers Pay Teachers shopping, and I am joining up with my friend Jennie at JD's Rockin' Readers for a quick gift card giveaway.  This one ends on Sunday along with the Blogger Product Swap Giveaway, so enter both (2 for 1 deal...Who would love that??)
