Wordless Wednesday

I'm linking up today with Christina at Sugar and Spice for Wordless Wednesday.

My question is...
What would you do to increase the amount of reading your students do independently?  Our school duct taped our sweet principal to the wall for meeting quarterly AR goals.

  1. Lol that's hilarious! Our principal wore a crazy wig around when our 5th graders passed their state test! :) Thanks for linking up! :)

  2. That's fun! I love this linky, and I appreciate the opportunity. I posted at 5:15...woke up and couldn't sleep. I didn't comment then, but I'm heading over now.

  3. I love when administration and teachers out themselves out there. Our principal kissed a duck on our school's morning news when we met a challenge:)

    1. That would be so fun! One year, our principal and assistant principal (both males) dressed up as cheerleaders. They had special uniforms made for them and wore wigs for their routine. I am not kidding...we all laughed so hard we had tears, and kids doubled the amount of reading that semester. It was really a great incentive. My principal really enjoys motivating the kids, so she'd probably be game for most anything we suggested as long as it was a positive motivator.

    1. I'm so glad you dropped by Alison. After reading your marshmallow shooting post, I know you'd be game for duct tape! Feel free to borrow. :-)
