Snow Day Sale

We got a surprise day off today, so why not run a surprise half-price sale?  Recently, I uploaded two Magic Treehouse book units, and with winter still here for a while, I think there is time to make use of them. The first title, Blizzard of the Blue Moon, takes place in the heart of New York City.  Here is what Amazon has to say about it...
Jack and Annie are off on another Merlin Mission. This time, Merlin has sent them to rescue a beautiful magical creature—the unicorn. But when they land in New York City during the Depression of the 1930s, Jack and Annie are confused. Where will they find a unicorn in a big city?
The unit is set up in a before, during, and after model with a focus skill chosen for each chapter. Vocabulary from each chapter is introduced as part of the prereading process.

On Sale for $2.00 through 8 AM 1/30

The second book in my Snow Day Sale is Eve of the Emperor Penguin is also set up in a before/during/after fashion.  The setting for this book is Antarctica, one place much colder than Virginia!  Students love penguins, and this one would tie in well with researching penguins. Amazon's description says...
JACK AND ANNIE continue their quest for the secrets of happiness—secrets they need to save Merlin. This time, the Magic Tree House takes them to the one continent they haven’t visited before: Antarctica! What can they hope to learn about happiness in such a barren place? Only the penguins know for sure . . . Jack and Annie are about to find out!
Here's a glimpse of the unit linked to my store.
On Sale for $2.00 through 8 AM 1/30 too
Whether you're in school or not, I hope it's a great day.  Until next time, happy reading! (and shopping)
